Other Services We Provide

The Christiana Volunteer Fire Department is dedicated to helping protect the lives and property of it's district as well as surrounding districts.  To be fully effective we must respond to a wide range of incidents.

Roadway Obstructions

We respond to a variety of situations which require us to remove debris and obstructions from roadways in efforts to keep everyone safe while travelling through our district.  The causes of this clutter can be from a car crash, lightning strike, tornado, or high winds.   Whatever the cause, our goal is to keep you moving safely.

Trash Fires & Uncontrolled Burns

From  time to time we may be called out to respond to a fire that has gotten out of control, is not being closely monitored, or may contain materials that are not suitable for burning.  Depending on the circumstances we may deem it necessary to extinguish the blaze.  Please see our Burn Permit page for more on open burning.

Motor Vehicle Accidents

Any time there is a motor vehicle accident that involves a possible rollover, entrapment, leak, hazardous material release, or involves extensive damage we are called out to stand by in case fire suppression is needed and to offer the other agencies on scene any additional assistance and manpower they may require.
